Why does it request Input Monitoring?
macOS requires this permission for keyboard sounds while another app is active. Preview sounds can be used before granting it.
Why is typing silent?
Check mute, quiet hours, playback volume, the selected audio output, and macOS Input Monitoring settings. Secure input fields may prevent global keyboard events.
Can it change or block my typing?
KeyLilt is designed to listen for sound playback. It does not suppress or inject keystrokes.
